About Us

Our Mission

The Kay Trust is a mission-led social enterprise committed to rebuilding communities, strengthening alliances, and creating equitable pathways to generate wealth. We are a community fund sustained by member contributions, dedicated to circulating care, access, and opportunity throughout our network. We center women, single-mothers, Black families and other historically excluded groups, ensuring access to the tools, resources, and opportunities needed to advance and thrive. Through Targeted Support Funds, we don't just respond to immediate needs - we equip families to build stability, expand economic power, and pass wealth forward. Our mission is to shift the narrative from survival to ownership, from exclusion to empowerment, and from broken systems to thriving communities. The Kay Trust stands as a living movement - rooted in legacy, fueled by equity, and dedicated to equipping the next generation to rise higher.

As a community-funded mutual aid network, we remove barriers and forge alternative inclusive pathways that center Black families and marginalized groups - ensuring no one is left behind. From parents balancing households to entrepreneurs building from the ground up, our members share a common goal: stability, dignity, and the freedom to shape their own legacy. The Kay Trust is powered by the people it serves, and together we are building alternative frameworks using collaborative efforts that uplift, empower, and drive lasting impact.

Our Promise

Mutual Aid

Our Mutual Aid Circle provides rapid support for families facing urgent, short-term needs. Through shared contributions, we help provide vouchers, transportation assistance, utility assistance, emergency funding, etc., Contributors not only receive help, but also pay it forward.

Stability

We provide targeted support programs that help women, families, and entrepreneurs secure their essentials, and create reliable pathways forward. Our Targeted Support Programs are structured, growth-focused pathways designed to help families move from survival to stability.

Grants

Our grant and sponsorship hub provides opportunity-focused funding for families, single mothers, students, creators, and small business owners.

Jumpstarts

Our Jumpstart Fund helps families build real savings with structure, accountability, and matched support from The Kay Trust. We partner with those who are ready to invest in themselves and grow their wealth.
